Goh Jui Leang v Tay Sing Hwa
The Appellant, Goh Jui Leang, appealed against the High Court's decision dismissing his claim for a 50% share in the proceeds of the sale of a property (House No. 35) held by the Respondent, Tay Sing Hwa. The Appellant claimed an oral trust agreement existed, while the Respondent argued the funds provided were a gift. The High Court found in favor of the Respondent, ruling the money was a gift, and the Court of Appeal upheld this decision, dismissing the appeal.
